It's been a while!

I thought I'd post a brief update:
  • Love the new job. My boss, my co-workers and the benefits are all great.
  • Jude and I got a new motorcycle. Honda Shadow Spirit. It's great - we took our annual ride to Bar Harbor on it and had a blast.
  • We have a trip to FL planned for Nov 9-15. We're going to Disney for our 2 year anniversary.
  • Rentals at Driftwood Landing are good - could be even better - but given the economy, they are good.
That's it for us right now. Hope you are all doing well!
HUGS and KISSES!

New Job

I am excited to let you all know that I accepted a position with John Hancock. I start at the Pease Tradeport operations center in Portsmouth on April 7th. I am starting out at ground level, but they assure me that there are many opportunities for advancement once I learn the ropes.

It'll be a total change for me in many ways. First and foremost, I will get my nights and weekends back! This will mean more quality time with Jude, and our friends and families. The insurance benefits they offer are also a lot more comprehensive - and we are happy about that too! And, I topped out at the CCA, so there wasn't anywhere left for me to grow there. This is a whole new set of things to learn, do and grow with.

I finish up at the CCA on April 2nd. It's a little hard to leave after over 12 years. The place is a second home to me (Jude would say sometimes it feels like my first home!) and another family. It stinks that one person can impact how you feel about a place so much, but it also opened up a new opportunity for me.

The Ten Best Things about Tewksbury

1. Sheehans, Sullivans, Doherty's, and Sheas.
2. Irish cops bringing McDonalds food to our houses during raging, underage drinking parties.
3. Paula Doyle using our pool.
4. Dirt Bikes, Explosions, four-wheeling, and burning down cabins, trees, brush, & babops stuffed animals.
5. "Two-Tone" trucks (one being permanent primer on a fender), cherrybomb exhaust, lift kits, and big mudder tires. Hey wait? Wasn't that Chet's Blazer?
6. Jumping cars: (North Street just South of Livingston, 1-lane at Jack's Junkyard, Billerica Train Bridge too).
7. Deacon Bill.
8. Daily neighborhood sports on Mowhawk Drive.
9. Laying on ice in frozen puddles across the street to fix an engine starter, having to remove your jacket to get up because its frozen into the ground.
10. "F-in A duuude" "Yahhhh dude"
